The Dubai-born concept from Sunset Hospitality Group is heading to METT Singapore.
Dubai’s dining scene has long had a habit of exporting its brightest homegrown concepts, and now HANU is making the move to Singapore. Backed by Sunset Hospitality Group, the modern Korean restaurant is set to open at METT Singapore, bringing with it the same grill-led experience that has already earned attention in the United Arab Emirates.
The move feels fitting. Dubai and Singapore are two cities that thrive on new openings, ambitious hospitality projects and diners who are always looking for the next big thing. As FACT Magazine expands into Singapore, it is interesting to see one of Dubai’s own restaurant names making the same journey, especially one that has built its identity around quality ingredients, theatrical tableside service and a warm sense of occasion.

HANU first launched in Dubai at St. Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah, introducing diners to a Korean concept centred on premium meat and interactive dining. The name itself refers to Hanwoo, the prized Korean cattle breed celebrated for its rich flavour and exceptional marbling. That focus on quality is expected to remain central in Singapore, with the new outpost likely to mirror the brand’s emphasis on carefully sourced ingredients and a menu built around standout meat-driven dishes.
One of HANU’s defining features is its signature “Meat Me at the Grill” experience. Each table comes fitted with a bespoke Korean charcoal grill, turning dinner into something more immersive than a standard sit-down meal. Rather than leaving guests to manage the cooking themselves, skilled waitstaff take charge, preparing five premium cuts of meat tableside. Served with six condiments, the meal is designed for sharing, encouraging conversation and a more communal dining style.

The design also plays an important role in shaping the experience. In Dubai, HANU balances traditional Korean influences with contemporary touches, creating a setting that feels modern without losing its sense of heritage. The Singapore restaurant is expected to follow a similar approach, with dark walnut wood, antique-inspired furnishings and a moodier palette that gives the space both warmth and character.
While an exact opening date has yet to be announced, HANU Singapore is already shaping up to be one of the more interesting restaurant launches in the Lion City. For diners familiar with the Dubai original, it promises a continuation of a concept that blends premium Korean flavours with a lively, interactive format. For Singapore, it marks the arrival of a restaurant that understands how to turn dinner into an experience.
