The Wizarding World Shop adds magic to Mall of the Emirates

The official Harry Potter store opens on 10 February with games and goodie bags.

If you know your Gryffindor from your Ravenclaw, then hold onto your sorting hat. The Wizarding World Shop by Fandom is opening in the Mall of the Emirates, Dubai. The shop is a haven for all things Harry Potter with products ranging from satchels to scarves and books to brooms.

If you suffer from FOMO, head down on launch day. The doors open on 10 February at 4pm with special events where customers can play games, win prizes, grab goodie bags and join Insta-opportunities – a photo with a trolly on platform nine and three quarters, anyone? 

The Wizarding World Shop spans 1,500 square feet, and includes clothes, notebooks, souvenirs, sweets and toys. We’re talking wands from The Noble Collection, Hogwarts robes from Rubie’s, and chocolate frogs from Jelly Belly. Plus, there are Harry Potter-themed products from LEGO, Funko, Mattel and Spin Master.

JK Rowling’s character who sleeps in the cupboard under the stairs has become a global phenomenon. Harry Potter spans eight films and is based on the best-selling book series, which has sold over 600 million copies worldwide, been distributed in more than 200 territories and translated into over 80 languages.

Potter fever is clearly in the air, as Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery recently announced that a Harry Potter-themed land is coming to Yas Island, Abu Dhabi. This is the first of its kind in the Middle East, and it will be located in the world’s largest indoor theme park, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi. The opening date has not yet been confirmed, but we are expecting it to be a must-visit family-friendly attraction.

The Wizarding World Shop by Fandom is open daily from 4pm, and runs until 3 February 2024. Sounds like a magical day out.
