British boybands A1 and 911 are coming to Dubai

Step back in time and relive the 90s songs, dance routines and curtain hair.

The 90s weren’t just about debating if Ross and Rachel really were on a break or not — it was also the era of iconic boybands. And if there’s anything the recent sell-out performance of Backstreet Boys in Abu Dhabi has revealed, it’s that we can’t get enough of 90s nostalgia, from the pop tunes to choreographed moves.

Now, event management company MAC Global is fuelling our obsession further with a concert by A1 and 911, both of whom will perform in Dubai for one night only on Friday, 22 September at The Agenda in Dubai Media City. The two 90s bands have amassed quite the following with their chart-topping hits.

British-Norwegian boyband A1 had their first breakthrough in the UK back in 1999, thanks to a collection of hit singles from their debut album. The band comprises of Ben Adams, Mark Read, Christian Ingebrigsten, and Paul Marazzi, who collectively went on to have international Top 10 and number one hits including Caught in the Middle, Everytime, and their cover of the A-Ha classic Take on Me. They achieved massive success in the UK and across both Europe and Asia, and won a Brit Award for Best British Breakthrough Act in 2001. And with five studio albums, they have totted up ten million record sales worldwide.

British boyband 911, which you’d expect to be 999 in the UK, is beloved for its infectious pop tunes and dance routines. The line-up includes Lee Brennan, Jimmy Constable, and Simon ‘Spike’ Dawbarn. We are expecting them to perform a medley of the group’s greatest hits. The band enjoyed success with four hit albums, which included There It Is and Moving On. Having sold ten million singles and six million albums worldwide, they also achieved platinum status more than 20 times in Southeast Asia and chart success in the USA.

Tickets to see A1 and 911 in Dubai are now available via Platinumlist. Tickets start from AED 95.
