Superstar rapper Busta Rhymes is performing in Dubai tonight

The hip-hop legend will perform at BLU Dubai.

Busta bust. The American superstar Busta Rhymes is coming to Dubai. The rapper will perform at BLU Dubai in Al Habtoor City on 13 December. So, if you want to catch the hitmaker, here’s what you need to know. 

Trevor George Smith Junior, better known as Busta Rhymes, hails from New York, United States. In 1986, he formed the group Leaders of the New School. After he started appearing as a guest rapper on songs, he soon became a solo artist. In 1996, he released his debut solo album, The Coming

Over Busta Rhymes’ career, he has released ten solo albums and received 12 Grammy Awards nominations. He has collaborated with Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey and Lil Wayne. He is known for his fast rapping style and his hit songs include Gimme Some More, I Know What You Want and Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See. 

Following his performance at the club, Busta Rhymes will jet off to Riyadh to headline the biggest music festival in the region: MDLBeast Soundstorm 2023.

BLU Dubai has seen a stellar lineup of artists take to the stage in recent weeks. Rapper YG performed on 1 December, British Grime artist M Huncho performed on 3 December, and American rapper Jadakiss performed on 10 December. There was even a performance from Ye, the artist formally known as Kanye West.

If you’re looking for more music events in the UAE, there are not just mega festivals but mega artists coming to the country. Upcoming concerts include Chris Brown at Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 22 December, Ed Sheeran at the Sevens Stadium on 19 and 20 January, and R&B superstar Khalid on 2 March 2024.
