Details on the new menu at Moonrise are here

True to chef Solemann Haddad’s take on ‘Dubai cuisine’, the 11-course menu pairs nostalgia with culinary innovation.

With a change of season on the horizon, it was only a matter of time until details around Moonrise’s next menu were unveiled — the Michelin-starred omakase spot at Eden House is rooted in seasonal menus inspired by Japanese and Middle Eastern cuisine. As for what’s expected? A host of new dishes served alongside some of the restaurant’s most beloved classics like Explosion, which accents pani puri with foie gras, date syrup, saffron and pineapple chutney.

Drawing inspiration from the diverse tapestry of cultures that he encountered growing up in Dubai during the 1990s, chef Solemann Haddad has crafted an 11-course menu showcasing more of what he has branded ‘Dubai Cuisine’, with childhood memories coming alive through his signature explosive flavours. And as always, his culinary team has spared no expense in sourcing the most luxurious ingredients from around the world (Japanese hamachi, Hokkaido scallops, and the finest lobster included). Haddad has also hand-selected an organic, naturally fermented butter from a small farm in the west of France, adding a unique richness throughout the menu.

He’s still championing the very best Middle Eastern produce, too. Labnah from Syria, organic local Sidr honey, Palestinian olive oil, and flavourful tomatoes grown in soil by local farms will make an appearance once again. The chef’s passion for nostalgia is evident in the new additions to the menu: 90’s Alfredo (jalapeno and lobster claw ravioli with aged Parmigiano-Reggiano alfredo sauce) will capture the essence of a childhood comfort food, while Abood Juice Cheesecake (white chocolate cheesecake, alphonso mango, brown butter, local honey gel) will echo the cafeteria culture of old Dubai. Incidentally, the popular Sarookh sauce is back, this time elevating a Hokkaido scallop and Kaluga caviar dish.

We’re told that the culinary journey will culminate with the Starry Night experience, with dimmed lights and smoking wood evoking the laidback vibe of evenings by the fire in the desert, leaving diners feeling as if they’re sitting by a campfire under the night sky. A new wine pairing, meanwhile, will shine a spotlight on Middle Eastern wines, while a sophisticated 0% ABV cocktail pairing will cater to those seeking non-alcoholic options. Moonrise offers two seatings nightly for twelve diners per seating, at 6:30pm and 9:30pm, Monday through Saturday.
