Dinner by Heston Blumenthal introduces a Sunday roast

Indulge in a three-course extravaganza curated by chef Heston Blumenthal himself.

Sunday roasts go way back and while many restaurants across the UAE have kept this tradition alive, the FACT award-winning restaurant Dinner by Heston Blumenthal has just launched its first-ever Sunday lunch experience at Atlantis The Royal.

Taking place every Sunday from 12pm to 3pm, you can indulge in a three-course feast that dives deep into the rich culinary heritage of Britain. Collaborating with food historians and drawing inspiration from the archives of the British Library, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal offers a menu that takes you on a journey through centuries of British cuisine.

Start your meal with Meat Fruit (c.1500), a clever chicken liver parfait disguised as a mandarin, and the elegant Tomato Salamagundy (c.1723), a reinterpretation of classic salads featuring compressed tomato, smoked goat curd, and lovage oil. There’s also the Hay Smoked Salmon (c.1847) — a true testament to culinary craftsmanship.

Of course, the star of the show remains the Sunday roast. You get to dive into the Hereford Sirloin (c.1788) with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish cream, tender Roast Chicken (c.1672) with veal and herb stuffing, Roast Cauliflower (c.1661) with Truffle Sauce and the roast potatoes, — or “roasties” as Chef Blumenthal likes to call them.

To pair your meals, you can explore a carefully curated wine menu featuring over 900 references handpicked by Head Sommelier Arturo Scamardella, named Sommelier of the Year in the Michelin Guide Dubai 2023. You can also enjoy expertly crafted cocktails and mocktails.

To end on a sweet note, the popular Tipsy Cake (c.1858) — a heavenly brioche cake basted in Sauternes wine and served with roasted pineapple — is up for grabs. And if that doesn’t tempt you, perhaps the Lemon Tart (c.1747) or the Bohemian Cake will (c.1648). And for the little ones, there are special treats like mini roasts and the Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream Trolley (c.1901).
