Lebanese hotspot Meat the Fish is opening in Dubai

The MediterrAsian restaurant will open at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in September.

Dubai is welcoming big restaurant brands, from La Dame de Pic and StreetXO and One&Only One Za’abeel to Tatel and TOTÓ at Hotel Boulevard, Autograph Collection. Now, another hospitality hit is about to wash up on our sunny shores.

Beirut’s Meat the Fish will make its Dubai debut at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in September. The casual concept known for its menu of seasonal-inspired MediterrAsian dishes can be found in Batroun, Faqra, and Saifi in Lebanon and London’s upmarket Chelsea neighbourhood.

The news was announced on 7 Management CEO Rabih Fakhreddine’s LinkedIn account: “I am thrilled to announce that the renowned Meat the Fish has officially joined the 7 Management family at the prestigious Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab Marina. Following its success in Beirut and London, we are excited to bring this beloved brand to Dubai in September 2024.”

Founded in 2012 to meet the growing needs of private clients, Meat the Fish began as a premium provider of meat and fish for home delivery. The diverse selection features over 100 products, including Australian beef, French lamb, Dutch veal, French chicken and Japanese oysters. This focus on quality soon blossomed into a full-fledged restaurant, bringing Mediterranean-Asian fusion cuisine to diners.

The success of Meat the Fish lies in the restaurant’s blend of influences. Warm Lebanese hospitality forms the foundation, while the decor creates a “land and sea-inspired escape.” When it comes to the menu, diners can expect an exploration of Mediterranean and Asian flavours. Spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner, the signature dishes include Beef Baos, Black Cod Donburi, Grilled Octopus, Poke Bowls, and Whipped Feta.

Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is one of the most antiquated hotel openings of 2024. Perched on the shoreline close to Burj Al Arab, the property is expected to deliver lavish accommodations, destination dining and stunning swimming pools. Drawing inspiration from the sleek lines and glamorous allure of a superyacht, this new hotel perfectly complements Dubai’s already breathtaking skyline.

7 Management is behind the popular restaurants Black Flamingo, Limonata, and the FACT Award-winning February 30, Lucia’s, and The Theatre.
