The restaurant will open at Kempinski The Boulevard Dubai.

Dubai is known for its ever-evolving dining scene. Just when it feels like the city has seen it all, something fresh and exciting arrives. The latest name to know is Mamabella, a soon-to-open restaurant promising to transport diners straight to the sun-drenched shores of Sardinia.

Set within Kempinski The Boulevard, Mamabella is the newest venture from Gastronaut, the group behind the futuristic dining concept Woohoo and Zenon, which sit right next door. But while Woohoo leans into tech, and Zenon revolves around AI dining, Mamabella takes a very different approach, celebrating Italy’s grandmothers with a rotating “Cucina Mamma” program, regional recipes, and a communal studio that turns family cooking into a shared experience.

Mamabella

Mamabella draws inspiration from the laid-back charm of Sardinian villages, offering a Mediterranean escape amid the buzz of Downtown Dubai. The space is styled like a rustic southern Italian village, softened by natural textures and warm light, and framed by skyline views. At the restaurant’s core is “Cucina Mamma,” a monthly residency that flies in a grandmother from Italy to cook the dishes she has perfected over a lifetime. Expect handmade pastas and regional specialities that read like a travel map of the peninsula, including lasagna from Emilia, culurgiones and seadas from Sardinia and grilled lamb from the interior.

Although the full menu remains under wraps, MamaBella leans into the richness of Italian ingredients. Wild herbs, artisanal cheeses, fresh seafood, prime meats, and first-press extra virgin olive oil anchor a menu that is regional and seasonal. Taking centre stage is the Mamma Studio, a 12-seat communal table where guests can watch, taste, and learn, building a living archive of Italy’s culinary heritage.

Mamabella’s arrival adds another dimension to Kempinski The Boulevard’s growing culinary lineup, joining La Brasserie Sur Le Boulevard and The Lobby Lounge. With Mamabella and Woohoo on the horizon, this hotel is fast becoming a food-focused hotspot in the heart of the city.

An official opening date is yet to be announced, but the anticipation is building.
