The IHG-backed brand is making its way to the UAE.

Dubai’s hotel scene shows no signs of slowing down. With major openings, such as Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab already making waves and Mandarin Oriental Downtown on the horizon, the city continues to solidify its status as a global hospitality hub. Adding to the excitement, Kimpton Dubai has announced its UAE debut — and it’s heading straight for the heart of Business Bay.

Set to open in early 2026, Kimpton Dubai will transform the former Crowne Plaza Business Bay into a boutique retreat just minutes from Downtown Dubai and Dubai Mall. Known for its bold personality and neighbourhood charm, the Kimpton brand promises something refreshingly different.

The design of the building nods to its location by the Dubai Canal, with curved fins mimicking the movement of water and metallic elements that catch the shifting light. Inside, guests can expect stylish yet welcoming interiors that stay true to Kimpton’s signature blend of character and comfort.

Spanning 280 keys, the hotel will offer a mix of rooms and suites, with further details expected to be revealed closer to its launch. On the lifestyle front, the hotel will house three dining concepts, curated retail spaces, a spa, a modern fitness centre, and a rooftop pool with sweeping skyline views.

With seven meeting rooms and easy access to the city’s commercial districts, Kimpton Dubai is also poised to become a top choice for business travellers — and the ample parking will no doubt be welcomed in this bustling neighbourhood.

Backed by IHG, this marks Kimpton’s first property in the UAE, joining its upcoming regional sibling, Kimpton KAFD in Riyadh, as the brand strengthens its footprint across the Middle East.
