Afrobeat sensation Davido is heading to Dubai

The African music maestro is coming to Coca-Cola Arena this autumn.

Get ready to groove because the one and only Afrobeat sensation, Davido, is making his way to Dubai. Bringing his Timeless Tour to Coca-Cola Arena on 2 September, this superstar is going to sprinkle his musical magic and make sure you have a great time.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido’s journey to becoming an Afrobeat sensation is exciting. He left his studies and moved to the vibrant streets of Lagos, Nigeria to pursue his one true love — music. It was here that Davido’s talent began to flourish.

Davido’s rise to stardom was far from ordinary. He was adamant about leaving his mark in the world of music so he set out on a journey that would redefine the Afrobeat genre. His unique sound which seamlessly blended African and contemporary beats, quickly caught the attention of music lovers across the world.

His claim to fame came with the release of his debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo in 2012 — when he was just 20 years old. The album’s second single, Dami Duro, catapulted him to fame. And that was just the beginning. Soon, his tracks started topping the charts, solidifying his spot as one of the hottest music sensations in the world.

Davido’s tracks shook up the African music scene and soon he caught the eye of FIFA. They then selected him to be the torchbearer of the 2022 FIFA World Cup soundtrack.

Now, he’s making his way to Dubai — but this isn’t his first stint in the region. The African music sensation has wowed crowds numerous times and was last in the city during Expo 2020 Dubai — making the crowd dance to his beats.
