YUBI Handroll Bar is located on Dubai’s first licensed street.

Dubai is home to cuisines from around the world, from big brands to homegrown concepts. Now, it is set to welcome YUBI Handroll Bar. Seven Management has collaborated with acclaimed chef Reif Othman for the region’s first homegrown handroll bar, which will be located on 25 Jump Street.

Influenced by Japanese street culture and hip-hop, the restaurant combines music, fashion, and design to create an experience that feels creative and instantly Instagrammable, from bespoke uniforms to signature design elements that seamlessly merge fashion and function. Expect counter seating for handrolls crafted to order, a slick soundtrack and a menu that extends into salads, sashimi, nigiri and hot Japanese bites, perfectly paired with cocktails and sake from the licensed bar.

YUBI Handroll Bar aims to showcase Japanese cuisine in a simple yet versatile form. The team have drawn inspiration from timeless traditions that have endured into the present day. As the region’s first homegrown handroll bar, YUBI specialises in serving hand rolls, a type of sushi made by wrapping seaweed around rice and fillings. As the name suggests, these sushi creations are meant to be eaten by hand with fillings ranging from salmon to scallop, tuna and foie gras.

“At YUBI, we want guests to feel the energy and discover handrolls in a whole new way, dining in a space that is inspiring, social, and full of flavour. YUBI does things differently, giving you a front-row seat as our rolls are crafted right in front of you. Beyond handrolls, guests can explore a wider menu of Japanese favourites, all served at their freshest. The result is an immersive, interactive experience that’s anything but ordinary, one you’ll want to come back for,” said Chef Reif Othman.

7 Management is not only behind YUBI Handroll Bar, but also 25 Jump Street. The new dining destination has made headlines as Dubai’s first licensed street. Located behind 25hours Hotel One Central, it will be an all-year-round destination featuring 12 curated concepts, ranging from casual to high-end restaurants. Some, like Antika and Em Sherif Deli, are already welcoming guests, while Escobar, Junk, Lady Bird, Le Trottoir de PalomaLucyLuPepperoni, and 19SixtyFour by McGettingans are expected to open by October.

“As a homegrown brand, YUBI is a lifestyle concept that reflects the evolving trends, tastes, and desires of today’s diners. We’ve created a concept that redefines the traditional Japanese dining experience, with handrolls at the heart of it, complemented by sashimi, nigiri, and more. It’s fresh, uplifting, and unapologetically different. Our goal is to make everyone feel welcome at YUBI, whether stopping by for a quick bite or enjoying an elevated dinner,” said Rabih Fakhreddine, Founder & Group CEO of 7 Management.
