Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga unveils its luxury lifestyle hotel

The brand’s Saudi debut will be located near the Murabba megaproject.

Saudi Arabia is attracting some of the world’s hottest hotels. To prove the point, Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga Hotel and Residences has announced that it’s making its debut in the kingdom. Scheduled to open in 2026, here’s what we know about the new luxury hotel.

Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga has been unveiled, and we are buzzing with excitement. Located in the Al Malga neighbourhood, the hotel boasts 200 keys, which cover 130 standard rooms and suites, with 25 one-bedroom, 35 two-bedroom, and ten three-bedroom serviced apartments.

Visitors will have three new restaurants and lounges to choose from, which include Ennismore’s in-house culinary concept studio, Carte Blanched. Plus, there will be a state-of-the-art social wellness space and event spaces.

Mondrian prides itself on being a lifestyle brand, which mixes culture with hospitality. So, Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga will also be developed as part of the mixed-use Al Malga Urban Village, which will include boutique cafés, restaurants, shops and entertainment.

Award-winning architect, Tristan Di Plessis, will be working his magic on Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga. We’re expecting great things, as he is behind hospitality hits, which range from MeatCo at Madinat Jumeirah to SĀN Beach on Palm West Beach in Dubai.

Mondrian Riyadh Al Malga will be located in north Riyadh, which just happens to be the entrance to one of the city’s most dazzling megaprojects: Murabba. The $800 billion project aims to double the size and population of the capital, and transform downtown Riyadh.

Upon completion, Murabba will make the city more of a cultural hotspot. The site will include a museum, technology and design university, multi-purpose immersive theatre and more than 80 cultural and entertainment venues.

Mondrian currently has 17 hotels and residences in the pipeline, which are coming to Abu Dhabi, Cannes, Dubai, Bordeaux, Hong Kong and Ibiza. Plus, Ennismore has confirmed that it plans to bring more lifestyle brands to Saudi Arabia.

We can’t wait to check-in.
