African Queen

For those in search of a captivating blend of French and African cuisine, African Queen is destined to become a must-visit. This distinctive culinary haven, originally established in the South of France in 1969, has been delighting taste buds with delectable offerings like Artichoke with vinaigrette, Filet au Poivre, and Salade Nicoise. Now, guided by the culinary expertise of Chef Thierry Paludetto, African Queen extends its exquisite dining experience to the shores of J1 Beach. Chouchou, an elite beach house members-only club, is a French paradise nestled along the Dubai coastline. Cutfish

Cutfish Sushi Bistro can already be found in London and Moscow, and is now opening a new concept in Dubai. Founded by restauranteur Alexander Oganezov, the Japanese izakaya restaurant sits beneath the soon-to-open Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab and the menu will include contemporary cuisine anchored around an izakaya experience. Superb for sharing the signatures include sushi rolls, Josper grill dishes, and beef, chicken as well as duck dishes. Plus, the venue boasts a modern setting overlooking the yachts at Marsa Port.

Evie’s

Transport yourself back in time to the roaring 1920s at Evie’s, a new up-and-coming restaurant in DIFC. This supper club-style establishment promises to combine imaginative dining with live music and entertainment. While details are scarce, expect a decadent ambience and a playful nod to the glamour and glitz of the era. Evie’s comes to Dubai from the dynamic duo Chef Izu Ani and Evgeny Kuzin, the guys responsible for Alaya and the FACT Award-winning GAIA.

Babylon in Dubai

Frou Frou

A touch of Paris is coming to Dubai. The French restaurant Frou Frou is making its way to The Lana – Dorchester Collection. Developed by Bulldozer Group, Frou Frou Dubai aims to bring the joie de vivre of Paris in the early 20th century to the Middle East. The name refers to something showy or fancy, especially a female dress. Frou Frou Dubai prides itself on offering a vanguardist take on French classics. Guests can expect a chic, contemporary space with a lush oasis, and a rich blend of colours, textures and ornaments. Chef Leonid Ivanov will be at the helm of the new restaurant. He is a connoisseur of Mediterranean and French cuisine and brings a wealth of knowledge from his time in France. The menu will reinterpret French cuisine in a modern way and be designed for local tastes.

Gatsby

The upcoming dinner show concept Gatsby Barcelona’s motto is “A little party never killed nobody.” This Spanish restaurant, set to launch this year at Palm Jumeirah, offers a luxurious dinner show where the dining experience is a blend of avant-garde and cosmopolitan styles. The menu combines contemporary cuisine with Spanish classics, expertly crafted cocktails and wine pairings.

The African-inspired restaurant will go from dining to dancing, and host a lively party scene. So, if you’re looking for a night out with a difference, here’s what you need to know. At the heart of the restaurant is open-fire cooking. The concept aims to showcase African hospitality and the values of warmth and unity. The menu will bring together diverse flavours and the cultural richness of the continent. The concept comes to Dubai from Chef Izu Ani and Evgeny Kuzin, the dynamic duo behind the FACT Award-winning GAIA.

Beirut’s Meat the Fish will make its Dubai debut at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab in September. The casual concept known for its menu of seasonal-inspired MediterrAsian dishes can be found in Lebanon and London. Founded in 2012 to meet the growing needs of private clients, Meat the Fish began as a premium provider of meat and fish for home delivery. This focus on quality soon blossomed into a full-fledged restaurant, bringing Mediterranean-Asian fusion cuisine to diners. When it comes to the menu, diners can expect an exploration of Mediterranean and Asian flavours. Spanning breakfast, lunch and dinner, the signature dishes include Beef Baos, Black Cod Donburi, Grilled Octopus, Poke Bowls, and Whipped Feta.

Meat the Fish

Ninive Beach

Ninive Beach aims to blend together cultural heritage with contemporary elegance. The concept from RIKAS Hospitality Group can already be found in Dubai at Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Bab Al Shams Desert Resort. The Jumeirah Emirates Towers venue is inspired by a majlis and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, while the Bab Al Shams Desert Resort venue is located in the depths of the desert. The menu combines flavours from across the Middle East and North Africa. Diners can expect influences from Iran, Iraq, Morocco and Turkey.

Sakhalin

Sakhalin is a culinary destination where local and Far Eastern ingredients harmonize with Mediterranean and Asian culinary traditions, giving birth to MediterrAsian cuisine. Under the guidance of executive chef Alexey Kogay, a Michelin-recognized establishment, this restaurant offers an innovative menu brimming with artistic creativity, all set against the backdrop of the enchanting shoreline.

Scalini Cucina

The London-born Scalini is opening a casual offshoot in Dubai Mall, and it will be a relaxed yet refined concept. Scalini Cucina will showcase Italian classics as well as coffees and cakes. So, if you’re looking for a new sophisticated spot, here’s what you need to know. Fundamental Hospitality is behind the expansion of the brand. The venue will be easy to spot, thanks to its regal blue hues. With indoor and outdoor dining options, the interiors include potted plants, black and white photos, luxury finishes, and the brand’s signature lemon tree.

Sirene by Gaia

Conceived by Evgeny Kuzin and Chef Izu Ani, Sirene Beach by Gaia invites you to indulge in a relaxed coastal experience right in the heart of Dubai. This culinary haven whisks guests away to a scenic beachside setting, capturing the essence of a Greek summer with its genuine Mediterranean flavours from Greece.

Tête à Tête is a sultry spot. In French, the name means private conversation and highlights how this is great for a date. The bistro brings the glamour of Monte Carlo to FIVE LUXE. The menu includes pretty plates, indulgent cheese boards and French flavours. Plus, the dramatic décor is inspired by a jewellery box and includes oceanfront views. Prepare to be dazzled.

Tete A Tete at FIVE Luxe JBR

Casa Amor

Casa Amor is coming to Mandarin Oriental Jumeira, Dubai. A Saint Tropez import, the original Casa Amor is one of the most exclusive beach clubs in the French Riviera. The bohemian-inspired concept echoes the soul of Tulum and offers a free-spirited vibe. Casa Amor brings together art, food music and wellbeing. The events line-up will include local and international DJs, and deep house tracks. The food menu brings together flavours of South of France with Latin influences and is superb for sharing. It includes fresh fish, seafood and live grills with premium beef cuts.

Frantzén and Studio Frantzén

Get ready for a new Nordic adventure at Studio Frantzén. Indulge in the unique blend of Nordic gastronomy with Asian influence, served in a luxurious, modern Scandinavian setting at Atlantis, The Palm. Björn Frantzén’s refined cooking highlights pure ingredients, while the lively atmosphere and carefully curated music complete the immersive experience.

Duck & Waffle Dubai

Located in DIFC, Duck & Waffle Dubai will offer views of the Burj Khalifa, rivalling the skyline views that the London outpost is famous for. This venue will feature a central radiant dome, a dining space designed like a greenhouse, featuring a covered pergola, an open kitchen and a 360-degree, walk-around “chef’s bar”. The menu will feature items like Foie Gras Crème Brûlée, Spicy Ox Cheek Doughnut, and Whole Roasted Chicken, but the Duck & Waffle dish remains its signature. This dish features a hearty combination of crispy duck leg confit, fried duck egg, and mustard maple syrup. Complementing the food, a selection of curated cocktails will also be available.

MiMi Mei Fair Dubai

Although an opening date has yet to be officially announced, FACT has been told to expect the Dubai outpost of MiMi Mei Fair to open in late 2023/early 2024 on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd in Downtown Dubai. Judging by the London menu, we expect MiMi Mei Fair in Dubai to feature the restaurant’s signature Apple Wood-Fired Roasted Peking Duck, Wagyu Black Pepper Beef Baked Puff, Peking Duck Bao, Crispy Mandarin Beef and tempting dim sum selections. While we’re unsure if the restaurant will be renamed MiMi Dubai for its Middle Eastern debut, you can read our full review of the London location here.

MiMi Mei Fair in Dubai

Bar des Prés

Bar des Prés brings together East Asian and French influences. Chef Cyril Lignac is at the helm, and is famous in France for his restaurant Le Quinzieme, and his TV shows on channel M6. The Bar des Prés brand can already be found in London and Paris. Dishes include Green Asparagus with caramelised miso, Crunchy Crab and Avocado galette with madras, and Native Lobster Salad. Plus, the desserts pay homage to the chef’s time as a pastry chef.

China Tang Dubai

Like its counterpart at The Dorchester Hotel in London, a branch of the upmarket Cantonese restaurant China Tang will open at The Lana, Dorchester Collection this summer. Established by businessman, philanthropist, and socialite Sir David Tang, the restaurant has earned a well-deserved reputation for stellar service and exquisite presentation of traditional Chinese dishes. From the tempting Dim Sum offerings to signature dishes like the succulent Char Siu, Ma Po Tofu, Yu Xiang Aubergine, and the perfectly bronzed Peking Duck, the China Tang menu showcases centuries of perfected recipes and celebrates the artistry of Chinese cuisine.

Crazy Horse Dubai

Dubai, a new sultry show is coming to the city. Crazy Horse from Paris will be making its debut in the region. Bringing together dance, music and a whole lot of fun. Crazy Horse in Paris has a long history, which is more than 70 years old. The original venue has welcomed a range of famous performers, which ranged from Dita Von Teese to Carmen Electra. Visitors can expect acrobats, live music and entertainment. While the location for Crazy Horse in Dubai has not yet been confirmed, it has opened across the world. Today, the signature show is Totally Crazy!, which brings together 90 minutes of fun and fantasy. The show opens with dancers in British-inspired royal guard uniforms, as they dance to a take of the British national anthem.

Cyrano

Cyrano is a charming eatery that has travelled from the bustling streets of Gemmayze in Beirut to Dubai World Trade Centre. Offering a laid-back atmosphere, this casual all-day restaurant transforms from a wholesome brunch spot to a stylish cocktail bar by night. Its menu features a range of hearty and wholesome dishes, perfect for any time of day.

D’Lirio Dubai

Sunset Hospitality Group has been wowing Dubai with its latest bar and restaurant openings. Now, it is adding another one to the list. D’Lirio Dubai is coming to the city. Although the details are currently under wraps, here’s what we know about the concept. D’Lirio Dubai has not yet confirmed its opening date or location. The Instagram shares the strong, sultry logo and hints at the opening of a new hotspot that will be coming soon.

Dragonfly

Dragonfly’s concept is a collaboration between Bulldozer Group and MICHELIN Guide-selected chef Reif Othman. Scheduled to open in the autumn, it will showcase Japanese flavours fused with Pan-Asian cuisine. In Japanese culture, dragonflies symbolise transformation and renewal, and this idea of metamorphosis is embedded in the restaurant. The menu at Dragonfly Dubai draws inspiration from Asian markets. The signature dishes include the Beijing Duck, Bikini Sandwich with otoro and black caviar, and Duck Gyoza with foie gras and cherry hoisin sauce. Guests will be able to take their pick from more than 80 sake and shochu options, and one of the widest selections of Japanese whiskies in the region

Gerbou

Gerbou, which translates to welcome, is opening in the city and has sustainability at its heart. Gerbou has been designed by award-winning interior designers, Kristina Zanic Consultants, and the Dubai-based art gallery, Tashkeel Studio. The team have released renders of the new venue, and it looks like a sleek spot. Spanning indoor and outdoor spaces, the décor looks set to be Arabic chic.

Hanu

South Korean culture is taking over the globe, from K-pop bands to Oscar-worthy films. Now, a new Korean restaurant is heading to Dubai. Located at St. Regis Gardens on Palm Jumeirah, Hanu will be serving contemporary Korean cuisine. Hanu in Dubai will be a family-friendly dining destination and great for groups. The restaurant will boast a traditional setting, and superb sharing dishes. As for the name, it refers to a Korean breed of cattle that is native to the country and is a rare meat used for hanwoo beef. The meat is regarded as a premium beef, and gives us some idea of what to expect from the menu.

St. Regis Gardens Hanu Dubai

Il Gattopardo

Il Gattopardo, inspired by the novel The Leopard, draws inspiration from Milan and Venice. Chef Massimo Pasquarelli, who was born and raised in Abruzzo, Southern Italy, will be at the helm. The menu showcases Italian classics with a modern twist. Dishes range from Sicilian Mazara Prawns to Stracciatella Agnolotti. Whether you’re after a long lunch or a late-night spot, it offers a day-to-night experience. The entertainment will include resident DJs.

IT Restaurant

Get ready for a new dining destination that promises to be a hit – IT Restaurant. This global brand is known for its chic interiors, soulful music, and exceptional Mediterranean cuisine. With locations in party hotspots around the world such as Ibiza, London, Mykonos and Tulum, IT restaurant is set to bring its signature vibe to East Park in Dubai.

Jondal Dubai

Dubai is home to a range of restaurants, from Michelin-starred venues to celebrity chefs. Now, 111 Management is bringing a new concept to the city. Jondal can already be found in Ibiza, Spain, and the restaurant specialises in seafood. Chef Rafael Zafra is at the helm of the restaurant. He was born in Seville and first started working in restaurants when he was 16 years old. Jondal in Ibiza’s menu is divided up into from the sea, specials from the sea, caviar specials, meat and sides. Specials include Mediterranean Sea Cucumber with noisette, Sting Raw with pickles and fresh herbs, and Whole Octopus A La Gallega. Meats include Cured Rubia Gallega, Grilled Suckling Lamb Chops, and Wagyu Carpaccio with foie and parmesan.

Get ready for an unparalleled culinary journey as Kigo, the new Japanese omakase restaurant, is set to open in Four Seasons DIFC. La Môme, the upscale Cannes-born restaurant and cocktail bar is set to open in Dubai’s East Park. The venue promises Art Deco interiors, an exquisite menu curated by Chef Julian Cazalas, and music that will transform your dinner into a dancing party – a must-visit for any foodie and party-goer.

LAVITA Beach Club

LAVITA Beach Club is set to become the ultimate destination for sun-soaked days and lively nights at One Palm Jumeirah Dorchester Collection. The club boasts stunning views of the iconic Palm Jumeirah making it a prime location. The concept draws its inspiration from Italy’s glamorous coastal lifestyle and will host live music and entertainment, from a range of performers to international acts. La Vita comes from the team behind the FACT Award-winning Chic Nonna and L’Amo Bistro del Mare.

LAVITA Beach Club

Maison Revka

Maison Revka is making its way to Dubai from Paris and Saint Tropez, promising a Slavic-inspired dining experience that blends traditional grandeur with a modern twist. Founded by a Slavic family, this restaurant celebrates communal and cosy dining with a luxurious flair. Expect to see velvet seating, plush rugs, bold patterns, an open fireplace and just the right amount of old-world glamour. The menu takes centre stage at Maison Revka, with gourmet caviar as the highlight. Other must-tries include smoked salmon, grilled lobster, sea bass tartare, king crab salad, prime Irish rib steak, beef tenderloin, lamb skewer, chicken chachlyk and much more. For desserts, the likes of pavlova and sorbets will be served.

Maison Revka

Mr Chow

A-listers including Adele, Bella Hadid and Justin Bieber have been spotted at Mr Chow. With restaurants across the world, from Beverly Hills to Riyadh. Mr Chow Dubai will be located in the Dubai International Financial District (DIFC), taking over the space previously occupied by the Indochine. The opening has been created in partnership with Saudi hospitality firm, MJS Holding, marking the group’s first restaurant opening outside of the Kingdom. The Mr Chow Dubai menu will likely include all the Mr Chow signatures, such as the Chicken Satay, Green Prawns, Peking Duck and handmade noodles. Guests will also be able to watch the Insta-worthy hand-pulled noodle show.

Mr Porter, the popular steakhouse from Amsterdam and Barcelona, is set to open in Dubai’s East Park. The concept is a blend of a modern steakhouse and a trendy lounge, with a lively atmosphere that highlights the music, mixology, and menu. Get ready for a fun-dining experience.

NAHATÉ Dubai

Dubai is home to world-class dining concepts. Now, it’s set to welcome NAHATÉ Dubai. Spanning more than 1,100 square metres, it includes a large kitchen, dining area and two private rooms. By day and during the week, it is a fine dining restaurant. On weekends, it transforms into a nightclub. NAHATÉ Dubai will also be home to the world’s first J&Co cigar lounge and Baccarat Chef’s table. The J&Co cigar lounge has been created with Jacob & Co. The lounge will host private parties for famous faces. The Baccarat Chef’s table has been co-created with the iconic French crystal brand. The experience features a set menu and bespoke desserts.

NAHATÉ Dubai

Sexy Fish Dubai

Between its resident DJs, opulent interiors, artworks by the likes of Damien Hirst and Frank Gehry, and a diverse menu inspired by the seas of Asia, Sexy Fish has won rave reviews since its London debut in 2015. The trendy restaurant and bar currently runs three restaurants – one in London, one in Manchester and another in Miami – and is gearing up for its new venue in Dubai. We’re hoping the Dubai outpost will retain the signature dishes of the original Sexy Fish, such as duck salad, vegetarian sushi, smoked tuna belly, crispy eringi mushroom, black cod, and king crab, with the addition of new dishes and seasonally inspired flavours.

Get ready for the ultimate Japanese dining experience as chef Nic Watt, co-founder of the acclaimed ROKA, brings Shoku to Dubai. This upcoming restaurant at Dubai’s East Park promises to embody the spirit of Japanese cuisine, featuring the freshest ingredients and masterful techniques. With Nic’s impressive background, expect nothing less than a top-notch dining experience.

Sobremesa

Sobremesa is opening in Souk Al Bahar, serving Spanish cuisine and cocktails. Sobremesa translates literally to upon the table. The idea comes from the Spanish tradition of relaxing after a meal, and letting the conversation (and cocktails) flow freely. So, instead of being turned away once you’ve finished your food, you’ll be encouraged to stay. Sobremesa’s food menu draws inspiration from Mexican and Spanish recipes. The drink’s menu has been created in partnership with El Copitas Bar, which is a bar in Saint Petersburg, Russia. The Mexican bar is known for its collection of spirits and creative cocktails. For five years in a row, it has featured on the World’s 50 Best Bars list. To add to the atmosphere, in the evening, there will be live music inspired by mariachi bands and carnivals.

Tang Dubai

The Cantonese meets Japanese concept Tang is opening in Downtown Dubai, and it will boast views of the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Fountains. Tang can originally be found in Cape Town and Johannesburg in South Africa. The name refers to the Tang dynasty, which placed an importance on the senses, creativity and taste. Opening inside Palace Downtown, we’re hoping that the Dubai menu reflects the South African menu. Group Executive Chef Vixa Kalenga’s original menu draws its inspiration from contemporary Japanese cuisine and Hong Kong’s Cantonese food.

New York’s Carbone is set to open its doors in Dubai at Atlantis The Royal in early 2025. The celebrity favourite will take over the space formally occupied by Resonance by Heston Blumenthal on the ground floor of the beachfront hotel. While the specific menu for the Dubai outpost hasn’t been revealed, fans can definitely look forward to indulging in Carbone’s signature Spicy Rigatoni. Other favourites such as Chicken Scarpariello, Linguini Vongole, Seafood Salad, and Veal Parmesan are also expected to grace the menu along with more of the American-Italian cuisine that has made Carbone so famous.

Zuma Dubai Beachhouse

Opening its doors in 2025 in La Mer, Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will mark the brand’s third outpost in the UAE. Located adjacent to the Gran Melia Dubai, there’s no doubt that Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will be a buzzing lifestyle hub for those seeking some downtime in the city. With a resident DJ on the deck and comfy day beds by the pool, this venue will also boast a lounge and a bar, along with a 140-metre-long beachfront with views of the Arabian Gulf. As expected, no Zuma experience is complete without some food, so prepare to be treated to an izakaya menu at this coastal location. Zuma Dubai Beachhouse will be open for lunch and pool bookings every single day.
