From the world’s tallest hotel to a floating palace, these new hotels in the UAE should be on your radar.
When a hotel opens in the UAE, it’s a blockbuster event with red carpets and celebrities. Just look back at Atlantis The Royal and its predecessor Atlantis, The Palm, which were international events. While not all hotel openings are created equal – they can’t all have Beyoncé – the properties come with the promise of new bars, restaurants and spas.
So, whether you’re after a fun, fashionable or family-friendly hotel, there’s something to suit your hospitality needs. Here are all of the new hotels opening in the UAE.
2024
Al Nawras Island, LXR Hotels & Resorts
Hilton’s luxury brand LXR Hotels & Resorts will open its first property in the capital. The all-villa resort on Al Nawras Island will feature 80 beach and water villas and a two-bedroom Royal Villa. With a strong emphasis on leisure and well-being, the resort will offer a fully equipped gym, a fitness studio, three swimming pools, tennis and padel courts, a beach club and a tranquil spa. There will also be two signature restaurants, two bars and a wellness-inspired cafe.

Ciel
Located in Dubai Marina, Ciel is scheduled to open at the start of 2024 and will be the world’s tallest hotel. The First Group and NORR are behind the project, home to 1,042 rooms including 150 suites. The restaurants include an all-day dining venue on the 13th floor, Sunset Lounge on the 74th floor, and a spa and health club on the 54th floor. Making the most of its height, Ciel in Dubai includes an observation deck with panoramic views, which include the Arabian Gulf, Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah. Plus, there will be a bar on the 76th floor and an infinity pool on the 81st floor.

Cloud7 AlSawan Camp
Having already seen success in Saudi Arabia’s AlUla, Cloud7 will bring its luxury camping to Ras Al Khaimah. The glamping site is nestled next to an animal farm home to Arabian falcons, camels, and horses. Comprising 60 luxurious units, this haven is the ideal spot to reconnect with nature, bask in breathtaking sunsets, and watch camel races. The glamping experience has been designed to allow guests to engage in hands-on activities related to local farming.

Cloud7 Jebel Jais
At Cloud7 Jebel Jais, guests can revel in the awe-inspiring mountain scenery from the nearby world’s longest zipline. The glamorous campsite, boasting 30 units crafted from local stone, offers a haven for explorers seeking to immerse themselves in eco-tourism. It will serve as a hub for outdoor activities, ideal for family getaways.

Delano Dubai
Set to debut later this year at Bluewaters Island, Delano Dubai will offer luxurious living, accentuated with rich woods, natural materials and fabrics. The hotel takes over the site formally occupied by Caesars Resort Dubai. Collaborating with leading interior design firms, the existing hotel will undergo a transformation to create a space that seamlessly merges the outdoors with the indoors. It will feature 251 meticulously designed guestrooms, including 84 suites — some boasting private pools. But luxury extends beyond accommodation, with four distinct food and beverage concepts. Expect a collaboration with Paris Society, which will introduce an ocean-facing restaurant and pool club, in addition to a patisserie, a Levantine-inspired destination restaurant, and Delano’s Rose Bar.

Earth Mangroves Abu Dhabi
Set within Abu Dhabi’s lush mangroves, Earth Mangroves will feature 41 free-standing bungalows, winding their way across the landscape and floating on the waterfront. The interiors are modern, minimal, and infused with earthy tones. The resort will offer a range of activities to indulge in, from kayaking to paddle boarding, yoga and meditation. The Sticky Lounge will serve as the epicentre of the hotel, serving farm-to-table food and fresh cocktails.

Earth Shore Marjan Island
Set against a backdrop of crystal-clear waters, Earth Marjan Island will be a lifestyle beach hotel that offers a blend of relaxation, adventure, and party vibes. With resort rooms, duplexes and a sky suite, each accommodation is thoughtfully designed with sustainability and experiential living in mind. Party all night, reboot all day and refuel at the hotel’s social hub, where a bar and locally sourced eatery await. The property will also feature a spa and swimming pool.

Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab
The latest addition to Jumeirah Group’s ultra-luxury portfolio sits in the shadow of the iconic Burj Al Arab. Boasting a total of 303 rooms and 84 suites, along with 82 one-, two-, and three-bedroom serviced residences, Jumeirah Marsa Al Arabs’ accommodations exude a nautical glamour with panoramic vistas of the stunning Arabian Sea. The hotel will feature specially-integrated wellness and leisure destinations, several swimming pools and a selection of signature restaurants, including a unique concept featuring four restaurants in one.

Kalba Hotel, Autograph Collection
Marriott’s Autograph collection will debut in Sharjah in 2024. Situated on Sharjah’s picturesque eastern coast, Kalba Hotel, Autograph Collection will be a luxurious five-star development sprawling over 60,000 sqm adjacent to the Kalba waterfront project and Kalba flag square. Boasting proximity to some of the region’s most renowned diving spots, Kalba Hotel will feature 80 elegantly designed units. The amenities will include two restaurants, a state-of-the-art gym, a spa, and a swimming pool.

Khorfakkan Hotel, Autograph Collection
Nestled on 38,000 sqm of land opposite the Khor Fakkan Port, Khorfakkan Hotel is set to be a destination of luxury and leisure. The hotel will feature 75 deluxe units and offer a range of upscale amenities, including the first waterpark on the UAE’s East Coast, a yacht club, opulent residences, and various retail options, including restaurants, a spa and a state-of-the-art gym.

Liwa Hotel, Autograph Collection
Nestled in the heart of Liwa Oasis in the Rub al Khali desert Liwa Hotel in Abu Dhabi will open under the portfolio of the Autograph Collection Hotels. The property will offer 66 rooms and suites – including three expansive three-bedroom villas – in addition to three restaurants, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, a spa and a kids club.

LUX Al Bridi Resort
Located within the 784-hectare Sharjah Safari project, LUX Al Bridi Resort forms part of the world’s largest wildlife safari outside of Africa. Accommodations feature one, two and three-bedroom units decorated in a sandstone-hued palette and earthy tones. The tented structures resemble sand dunes from a distance, seamlessly blending into the surrounding landscape. In addition to a gym, spa, pool, kids club and a restaurant focusing on plant-based meals, guests can embark on a wildlife safari to see giraffes, zebras and gazelles.

LUX Al Jabal Resort
The boutique-style resort seamlessly blends local traditions and materials into the design of its beachside retreat. Nestled on the slopes of Soueifa Mountain, it boasts numerous vantage points of the Gulf of Oman, rugged mountains and golden beaches. The resort will feature 45 rooms and suites, from cosy one-bedroom options for solo travellers and couples to spacious three-bedroom suites perfect for larger groups of explorers. Some of them will have private swimming pools.

Mama Shelter Dubai
Mama Shelter Dubai will shake up Dubai’s Business Bay, as millennials and Gen Z will feel right at home in the hotel housed in a new Franklin Azzi Architecture-designed building. Mama Shelter is famous for creating an informal atmosphere, which is why you’ll find room sizes categorised as S, M, L and going all the way up to XXL. With 201 rooms and 80 residences, guests checking into the hotel can also frequent the rooftop bar, lobby bar, coffee house and swimming pool. Plus, there will be a basketball court, volleyball court and DJs.

Mandarin Oriental Wasl Tower
The 302-metre twisting tower on Sheikh Zayed Road will consist of 229 residential units and 258 hotel rooms as part of Dubai’s second Mandarin Oriental Hotel. The hotel will occupy floors 16 to 38 of the 64-storey tower and is expected to feature a rooftop sky bar, poolside restaurant, lobby lounge and a Mandarin Oriental Cake Shop. There’s even a helipad.

Najd Al Meqsar Village
Nestled amidst the rugged mountainous landscapes of Khor Fakkan, a new destination is taking shape. The Najd Al Meqsar Village project will transform 13 carefully restored houses in the 100-year-old Najd Al Meqsar village into luxurious heritage-style hotel units. So far, seven of these hotel units have been completed, along with the restoration of the 300-year-old Meqsar Fortress, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the historic settlement. In addition to the hotel units and fortress, there will be nine villas with private pools, private farm villas, hiking trails and horseback riding routes.

Rove Marjan Island
Rove Al Marjan Island is set to impress with its array of modern amenities and convenient features. Boasting 450 rooms, guests can expect a comfortable stay with plush mattresses and a 48-inch smart TV with a media hub for entertainment. Interconnecting rooms are available for families, and the hotel also offers a unique beach club concept, perfect for those seeking sun and sand. Rove Al Marjan Island will also feature a 24-hour convenience store, an outdoor pool with sundecks for relaxation, a 24-hour gym and a self-service laundromat.

Saij Mountain Lodge
Sajj Mountain Lodge will be the latest addition to Accor’s Mantis Collection brand and is another captivating mountain lodging option set to open on Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah. This remarkable retreat boasts 35 luxurious lodges, providing the opportunity for guests to immerse themselves in the natural surroundings and rejuvenate their minds, body, and soul. Sajj offers a range of enriching activities, including creative experiences, mindful pursuits, and guided treks.

Six Senses The Palm, Dubai
Six Senses is set to debut in the UAE market with a 61-key hotel and 162 branded residences. Located along a private stretch of beach on Palm Jumeirah’s West Crescent, the hotel will pay homage to the cultural and historical ties between Dubai’s coral reefs and the ecosystems they nurture. At the hotel’s core lies a sprawling 60,000 square-foot social and wellness club, offering state-of-the-art facilities such as a longevity clinic, IV lounge, biohacking room, massage circuit pool, squash court, working spaces, and a Six Senses Spa. Elsewhere, guests can enjoy swimming pools, restaurants, bars, a kids’ club, a games room and a library.

Sofitel Al Hamra Beach Resort
Boasting 300 rooms, including an array of suites and villas, Sofitel is expanding its footprint into the Northern Emirates with the opening of Sofitel Al Hamrah Beach Resort later this year. Perfectly positioned for leisure and entertainment, the resort offers direct access to Al Hamra Golf Club’s championship 18-hole golf course, Al Hamra Marina, Yacht Club, and Al Hamra Mall. The resort also features a private beach and six restaurants serving a variety of global cuisines.

Gran Melia Dubai
With a stunning coast that perfectly encapsulates Dubai’s charm and its own private beach, Gran Melia Dubai is set to be a hospitality hotspot. Offering a unique and unforgettable experience to its guests, the beach resort located in La Mer will boast 260 keys. While the fine details of this under-construction marvel are still kept under wraps, the rendered images of Gran Melia Dubai reveal luxurious living, glass-walled swimming pools and more. The hotel will feature elegant white exteriors adorned with gold and intricate stonework, accented by lush touches of greenery. Of course, no luxury hotel in Dubai is complete without a culinary experience to remember. While the specifics of Gran Melia Dubao’s dining options have yet to be unveiled, we do know that the resort will be home to Zuma Dubai Beachhouse.

Marriott Mirfa Resort
Marriott Hotels and Resorts is set to make its mark in Abu Dhabi with the opening of the Marriott Mirfa Resort, Abu Dhabi. Located along the picturesque coast of the Al Dhafra region, this beachfront resort will feature 114 rooms, three dining outlets, and over 600 sqm of meetings and event space. The brand’s signature M Club lounge, known for its exclusive amenities and services, will also be a highlight of the resort.

Mondrian Abu Dhabi
The first Mondrian hotel in the United Arab Emirates will be located in Downtown Abu Dhabi. Mondrian Abu Dhabi spans 221 rooms and 80 serviced apartments. Visitors will have six food and beverage venues to choose from, which include a crystal-clear lagoon in the sun. The Insta credentials are real, as it includes ocean views and an infinity pool. Plus, lounges and daybeds will surround the water’s edge. The hotel has been designed by interior architect Tristan Du Plessis, the man behind MeatCo at Madinat Jumeirah and SĀN Beach on Palm West Beach in Dubai.

The world-famous Nammos beach club can be found in Cannes, Doha, Dubai and Mykonos. Now, it’s expanding its offering with Nammos Hotels and Resorts and opening in Abu Dhabi. The brand draws inspiration from Mykonian culture, and Nammos Resort Abu Dhabi will be an extension of its beach side concept. We’re expecting beach chic rooms and suites, which bring to life the Aegean charm. Plus, it will boast world-class entertainment, signature restaurants and state-of-the-art wellness facilities.

Baccarat Hotel & Residences Dubai
Only Dubai could come up with a hotel made out of crystal. The architecturally striking two-towered structure that will be Baccarat Hotel & Residences Dubai is crystalline, creating a majestic presence that will shine brightly on the Downtown Dubai skyline. Offering uninterrupted views of the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Frame and the Dubai Creek, the hotel will be home to 144 rooms and suites alongside 49 Baccarat-branded residences and four F&B outlets.

InterContinental Resort Portofino
InterContinental Resort Portofino, The Heart of Europe marks the brand’s first resort property in Dubai. Situated in the centre of The World Islands, the hotel will span six islands, featuring 466 rooms and suites with sea views. Expected to open in 2026, the five-star Nobu Hotel on Saadiyat Island will feature 165 luxurious guest rooms and suites, including a stunning Nobu Villa on the rooftop. Nobu Hospitality has partnered with Enevoria Development to construct a beachfront hotel, restaurant, and residential complex on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah. The 70,000 square metre complex will be built on a recently acquired beachfront plot and is expected to feature a Nobu Hotel, 300 luxury residences branded by Nobu, a spa, a fitness centre, swimming pools, and the first Nobu restaurant in Ras Al Khaimah.

Aman Dubai
Nestled on Jumeirah Beach, Aman Dubai will be an all-suite boutique resort that blends contemporary design with Arabian hospitality. voco Sharjah
Scheduled to open its doors in 2027, voco Sharjah will mark IHG’s debut in the emirate, more than four decades after its entry into the UAE. W Hotels can be found across the world, from London to New York. Now the brand is coming to Ras Al Khaimah. Scheduled to open in 2027, W Al Marjan Island will be home to 300 rooms and suites. W Al Marjan Island will be a beachfront hotel, and boast uninterrupted views of the Arabian Gulf. The hotel will also include the brand’s signature spaces: Living Room, WET Deck, W Lounge, AWAY Spa and FIT fitness centre. Plus, it will be home to three restaurants and retail spaces.

Wynn Marjan Island
The UAE’s first casino will be located on the manmade Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah and is scheduled to open in 2026, marking the Las Vegas-based hotel and casino operator’s first foray into the region. The planned destination will feature a luxury hotel with over 1,000 rooms, world-class shopping, state-of-the-art meeting and convention facilities, a spa, more than ten restaurants and lounges, extensive entertainment choices and a gaming area, amongst other amenities.

Bellagio Hotel Dubai
Nestled along the picturesque coastline of Jumeirah Beach, which is known for being one of the longest stretches of developed beachfront in Dubai, Bellagio Hotel Dubai is part of a sprawling 26-acre development project known as The Island. Once complete, the hotel will boast a modern and futuristic design across a staggering 1,000 rooms and 10 exquisite villas. The facilities within and around the hotel are equally impressive, including a massive 500,000-square-foot theatre, museums showcasing art and culture, an array of world-class restaurants, and much more. We’re also hoping for an iteration of the Bellagio Fountain found at the Las Vegas property.

MGM Hotel Dubai
Another Las Vegas favourite is opening in Dubai. MGM Hotel Dubai will be located on The Island off the coast of Umm Suqeim alongside the Bellagio Hotel Dubai. Drawing inspiration from its Vegas counterpart, MGM Hotel Dubai is set to host regular shows and will also feature a beach club and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The hotel will also be a haven for shoppers and foodies, with a plethora of restaurants and retail options.
